For the first time various Puerto Rican artists with residence in Florida exhibit their work together for the enjoyment of all South Florida. Along with paintings from Ana Noble, Elizabeth Erazo Báez, and Carlos Rivera, Michelle is exhibiting several of her pieces, including oils, acrylic and watercolors.
The exhibition is being held at the Jan and Gary Dario Gallery in the Humanities Building of the Palm Beach Community College, Lake Worth Campus, from September 13 through October 18, 2007. For more information call (561) 868-3270.

The Wellington Art Society of Palm Beach County celebrated its Annual Juried Spring Exhibition March 15 - 18 at The Art of Life Gallery & Frame Shop, in The Mall at Wellington Green. Michelle's original watercolor, Capilla del Cristo II, won first prize in the Fine Art Under Glass category.
Over 30 pieces of art were on display during the exhibit, showcasing different mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolor, ceramic, and photography. Keeping it all in the familiy, Michelle's husband Vergentino also won first prize in the Photography & Digital Art category with his image Bridal Roses.
The juror of the exhibit was award-winning artist Mr. Patrick Archer.

· Wellington Art Society's Fall Fling, Art Under the Pines.

The Wellington Art Society celebrated its 2nd annual Fall Fling "Art Under the Pines" last November 10 and 11, on the grounds of First Baptist Church of Wellington (central Palm Beach County, Florida).
The Fall Fling, an outdoor members' art show and sale, featured paintings, sculpture, ceramics, photography and fine crafts by more than 35 artists. A portion of the proceeds from all art and craft sales went to the Wellington Art Society Scholarship Fund.

· Hispanic Heritage Celebration at Melaleuca Elementary School.

Fifth grade students of the Melaleuca Elementary School in West Palm Beach interviewed Michelle Irizarry as part of the Hispanic Heritage Celebration in their school. Under the direction of guidance counselor Mrs. Aida Del Valle, the students participate in closed circuit TV news which is broadcast live each morning into all the classrooms. The students also serve as anchors and camera operators.
Facts: Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15, the anniversary of independence for five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. In addition, Mexico declared its independence on September 16, and Chile on September 18.

The Cultural Center of the Village of Royal Palm Beach celebrated its First Arts Festival, last Sunday, August 27 at the Veterans Park.
The event was splendid with numerous expositions from artists and artisans representing different cultural groups from Palm Beach County, in South Florida.
Michelle had the opportunity to showcase more than thirty different pieces of her original artwork, including watercolors, oils, and acrylic paintings.

Two selected watercolor paintings, Kissimmee Wetland and Capilla del Cristo, were submitted to the 23rd Open Juried Exhibition of the Palm Beach Watercolor Society, held at the Coral Springs Museum of Art.
Over 100 pieces of art were on display in the Lobby Gallery of the beautiful musem, located in the city of Coral Springs, Florida (Northwest of Fort Lauderdale). The exhibition ran from March 1-25, 2006.
The juror of this exhibition was Maria Bacinich, AAS, BFA.
